About me and my work:
I’m Lawrence Pettener, M.A., and I am a professional writer and editor working in Bristol, with two colleagues available for when I get busy. I am a visiting professor at Bristol UWE (University of the West of England).
I have worked as a professional proofreader in the publishing industry, and I can guarantee quick turnaround times. I have proof-read poetry collections for Bristol’s Poetry Can (www.poetrycan.co.uk), and helped several novelists and others with their books. Websites (text only) are a mainstay.
Among other projects, I have copy-edited the English edition of a great guide to Berlin by Yuba Editions: http://www.berlin-hidden-places.de/and have been working on website copy, including that of this road haulage firm: http://www.hgvdriversguide.com/.
During summer 2011, I have proofread and copy-edited a novelist’s work, along with other mainstay work. Publishers continue to fall in the recession, including the Estonian one which was due to publish mine and a colleague’s work on the hidden Spain; life goes on.
